Aiutiamo gli attivisti Russi nel loro progetto per usare metodi alternativi
in didattica
Attualmente Vita Russia e Russian InterNiche team stanno lavorando perché si
possano usare metodi alternativi agli animali in didattica

hanno bisogno del nostro supporto per aiutare gli studenti che
coscienziosamente obiettano di usare gli animali negli esperimenti e
chiedono i permessi di usare alternative. Si chiede di mandare una lettera
alla Moscow State University dove lo studente Roman Beloysov sta studiando
microbiologia. Questo studente è riuscito ad apparire in un talk show per
parlare di questo problema e la trasmissione è stata seguita da molti.
Chiedono all'Università di introdurre alternative umane, e chiedono che
Roman possa studiare senza l'uso degli animali. Le autorità stanno proprio
ora decidendo cosa fare e il nostro aiuto sarebbe molto importante. Chiedono
anche che oltre agli attivisti individuali, partecipino anche le
associazioni protezioniste ufficiali.

In most universities, life science education comprises of a didactic course
and a thesis that is submitted at the end of the course. While the student
has the freedom of choice for the project researched on for the thesis,
he/she is compelled to do the didactic experiments which usually involve
animals. These didactic tests are, generally, the dissection of animals to
study the anatomy and physiology of the animal.
In recent years there has been an awakening and a realization in several
academia on the profound negative impact and futility of using animals in
education from both a pedagogic and psychological point of view. The fear,
anxiety and revulsion that is imposed on the psyche of a young mind, by
compulsory vivisection, has been critically and medically analyzed by
teachers and psychologists. At the Moscow State University a student Roman
Beloysov would like to study without animals experiments, and not only him.
We ask you to introduce humane alternatives like Models and simulators, Film
and video, Multimedia computer simulation, Student self-experimentation,
Clinical practice, in vitro labs. there is a growing number of teachers who
recognise students' rights to freedom of conscience and who are aware that
high quality 'alternatives' are already the norm in many institutes in the
world.
