BIOVERT - conservante
Inci Name: Glucose (&) Glucose Oxidase (&) Lactoperoxidase
Biovert™ mimics a naturally occurring antimicrobial-antioxidant protection system. When the two-part system is combined, a cascade of linked reactions takes place to generate antimicrobial products in situ. The cascade is initiated by the action of the glucose oxidase enzyme in the presence of its substrate (glucose) and oxygen. This generates H2O2, which is used by the lactoperoxidase to catalyze the oxidation of I- and SCN- anions, forming hypoiodite and hypothiocyanate which have antimicrobial activity. The result is rapid microbial cell death.
Efficacy – CTFA Challenge Test
It is well established that Biovert™ has broad spectrum antimicrobial effects in a wide range of formulation types. Test results show that formulations containing Biovert™ were able to withstand repeated microbial challenges of bacteria, yeast, and mould.
Safety
In reproducing a natural process, the components of the system are incorporated at low levels that present a negligible hazard from prolonged dermal contact. The system has undergone human patch tests and in vitro evaluations, and is non-irritating and non-sensitizing at recommended use levels.
Biovert™ has never been animal tested.

MICROKILL PCC™ - conservante
is a unique patent pending combination of three components - Phenoxyethanol, Chloroxylenol, and Caprylyl Glycol, which when combined together, provides broad spectrum activity. Mikrokill PCC™ is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and moulds at the recommended use level of 0.5% to 1.0%. Extensive challenge testing has been conducted by Arch on a number of test formulations and full details are available on request.
